Today the court in Germany started the trial against a woman accused of killing another woman who looked like her to stage her death. 24-year-old Sharaban K. and a 25-year-old allegedly chose the victim based on her appearance and age. Prosecutors say that after the murder, they planned to hide and start a new life, but that they were caught the next day. She and her accomplice deny the charges against them. According to court documents, Sharaban with German-Iraqi citizenship was 23 years old at the time of the murder in 2022, and on Instagram he was looking for women who resembled him and tried to introduce them by making various promises. Prosecutors say that the 23-year-old victim of Algerian origin, identified as Khadidja O., was promised free cosmetic treatment in a salon. He had been taken in the city of Eppingen in the south of Germany, and then sent to Ingolstadt in Bavaria.
Prosecutors also say the victim was stabbed 56 times and hit in the head before her body was dumped in a mountainous area inside a black Mercedes. When her body was found, it was initially thought that Sharaban K. had died. However, she and 25-year-old Sheqir K. were arrested the next day after they were seen in a pizzeria. The two are also suspected of hiring a hitman to kill her ex-partner's brother. The suspected murderer, who received an amount of 5000 euros, did not commit the murder. In addition, while in custody, the suspect allegedly tried to convince the inmate to kill the witnesses in the case.
