Businesses on alert for a month, Tax Administration: Fiscalization Platform

After more than a month of ongoing problems and complaints from businesses across the country, the Tax Administration has announced that the Central Platform for Issuing Fiscalized Invoices has returned to full functionality and is operating normally.

During this period, commercial entities had raised concerns about technical blockages and the inability to fiscalize invoices, a situation that jeopardized the continuity of their activity.

In a public announcement, the Tax Administration explains that the problem identified in accessing the platform has been resolved, while at the same time recalling the procedures that taxpayers must follow in cases where, for objective reasons, difficulties are encountered in fiscalizing invoices.

According to the official clarification, around 139 thousand taxpayers who use software to issue invoices should continue issuing them normally even in cases where invoices are not immediately provided with the unique NIVF code. With the return of the platform to full service, these invoices should be fiscalized by being provided with the relevant code.

Meanwhile, for about 3 thousand taxpayers who do not have fiscalization software and use the Central Platform directly, the Administration suggests equipping them with an appropriate software solution or reporting to the relevant Regional Tax Directorate to be equipped with a special invoice block. This block can also be used in case of defects or complete system interruptions, while issued invoices must be reported within the legal deadlines.

Clarifications have also been provided for cases of customs clearance of goods, where the legal deadline for fiscalization is 7 days from the release of the goods into free circulation. In case this deadline is exceeded due to technical problems, the Regional Tax Directorates will review the cases individually.
