"We love the intact family", petition against surrogacy! The family coalition opposes the new sexual health law

The Albanian Coalition for Family and Life organized the March for Life on June 1, at 10:30 a.m. in "Skënderbej" square.

Present were parents with their children, grandparents, young people, leaders of the Albanian Coalition for Family and Life who were also the organizers, as well as friends from outside the borders of Albania. They marched peacefully from "Skënderbej Square" to "Mother Teresa" Square in defense of the family and the celebration of life on the National Children's Day. With pro-life and pro-family banners, balloons and flowers, we show that the family is sacred.

It also continued with the signing of the "Manifesto of Life" Petition, which aims to send to the Parliament for the cancellation of

a) Draft Law on Surrogacy,

b) Abortion for girls aged 16 without the parents' knowledge,

c) Sterilization of young people, 18-year-old girls and 23-year-old boys, as a measure of family planning.

The Ministry of Health drafted the draft law "On sexual and reproductive health" which aims to guarantee the sexual and reproductive rights of individuals. The draft law aims to provide legal regulation mainly for assisted medical reproduction techniques and termination of pregnancy, including surrogate pregnancies.

"There are surrogate mothers who live in apartments in Albania, and what is done illegally, they seek to legalize it. This law is for clean business and turns Albania into a land of human trafficking."
