The government "seals" the end of abuses with umbrellas and sunbeds,

The Albanian coast will no longer face citizens with peak prices during the summer season, according to a new decision by the Council of Ministers. As previously announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama, municipalities will now be the ones to set the ceiling prices for each beach resort.

Prices will be determined based on the areas and standards offered and no longer arbitrarily set by private entities. Maximum prices will be determined at the beginning of each season by the respective municipalities for each coastal area and each private entity will be obliged to respect the set maximum.

Penalties for abusers will range from fines to loss of the right to manage the beach. In parallel, municipalities will create public areas with controlled fees, ensuring that the coast remains accessible and at a reasonable cost for all vacationers. On public beaches managed by municipalities themselves, contracting or delegating beach station management to private entities is prohibited.

Measures have also been taken to regulate noise levels in beach areas. The Council of Ministers also stipulates the drafting of a plan by the government for the permitted noise limit from private entities that exercise their activities in coastal areas.
