Albania, no longer a country with a Muslim majority! Muslim believers fall below 50% for the first time in centuries

Interesting data from the 2023 population census in Albania have been published today.

For the first time in the history of recent centuries, Albania is no longer a country with a Muslim majority.
The news has also attracted the attention of some Turkish newspapers who have reported it saying that Muslims in Albania have fallen below 50% for the first time in more than 200 years.
Muslims in Albania, however, continue to be the largest religious group with 45.7%.
