Not only in summer but also in winter, dozens of tourists choose to visit one of the most beautiful places where history, culture and nature come together in a single harmony.
The monastery in Zvërnec is one of the most visited places in Vlora this autumn as well. Hundreds of visitors come there every day, while there are also foreign tourists. They are mainly from Western Europe, Eastern Europe, but there are also tourists from distant countries such as America, Arabia and Australia.
A suggestion from friends but also an internet search has encouraged foreigners to visit Manasatir of Zvrnec this November weekend. With the main purpose not only the natural beauty that this place offers but also the small church of Saint Mary that is found inside the monastery.
"I'm from Greece. It's my first time in Vlora. We come here for the karate championship. We're already visiting this place. Our friend Reis brought us here. It's very beautiful here. At first sight I like the trees, the dense forest in it, and I want to visit it as it is very beautiful," says a tourist.
"I come from New York, America. From America to Vlora because it is very beautiful here. The mountains are very beautiful, everything is very beautiful. Will be staying here for a week, and now it's my favorite place. I like mountains, water, nature, they are magical. Now in the monastery in Zvrnec. I saw this place on Google and wanted to visit the view here and the small church in it. It's a beautiful place, I've never been here before. I will suggest this place to my friends in America as I really like it here. I will also come back here again," says another tourist.
"We come from France. We are coming to Vlora for the first time. This is a nice trip. We are 8 people, 8 friends who decided to visit Albania this time. We are really enjoying this trip. It is a very beautiful city. We decided to visit this monastery today, and then we will return to France. Very beautiful monastery, very quiet here. I am surprised. A very nice moment for us."
Local tourists appreciate the beauty of the monastery of Zvrnec, but at the same time say that more investments are needed for its preservation.
Data from the National Agency of Protected Areas show that in the first 8 months of the year, natural areas were visited by about 3.8 million local and foreign tourists. Figures which from year to year continue to grow.
