The Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Delina Ibrahimaj, in an interview with News24, stated that the Socialist Party plans to help young couples buy apartments. Ibrahimaj stated that over the next 4 years, 300 million euros will be made available for the construction of apartments at affordable prices.

The minister said that housing prices have increased, but added that existing homeowners' incomes have increased because the value of their apartments has doubled or tripled.

"In the next 4 years, a fund of 300 million euros will be made available precisely for programs to subsidize payments or build affordable housing.

"Housing programs that will help young couples, or young couples returning from emigration," said Minister Ibrahimaj.

Minister Delina Ibrahimaj: Housing prices have increased, a young Albanian couple who do not own a home must take out a loan and it will take them 20 years to repay it, as in all countries of the world, but those who have existing homes have had their incomes increase because the value of their apartments has doubled or tripled. That salaries have increased is a fact, there is no dispute.

We only plan to help young people buy homes, municipalities provide soft loans, a program financed by municipalities and a charge from the housing regulatory body.

The government has had a soft loan program for civil servants for at least two years. Over the next four years, a fund of 300 million euros will be made available specifically for programs to subsidize payments or build affordable housing.
