Court leaves one protester in jail! House arrest for 6 others, 12 under obligation to appear

House arrest for one of the 19 protesters arrested on the first day of the protest (October 13), the court ruled today. 6 have been placed under house arrest and 12 are under mandatory reporting.

The session, presided over by judge Amarilda Sulaj, began at 8:30 am and was held in groups.

Many of the protesters were wearing masks when the attacks took place. The youngest person arrested was 23 years old, while the others ranged in age from 27 to 59. Among them were people aged 48, 52, 55 and 57.

The arrested are charged with 8 criminal offenses: "Strike due to duty", "Disturbance of public order and peace", "Violation of rules on explosives and flammable substances", "Robbery of banks and savings banks", "Destruction of property", "Destruction of property by fire", "Opposition of a public order officer" and "Unlicensed production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons".

Another 49 people ended up under investigation, and 6 police officers were injured.
