Flamingos, in 137 days, turned into eagles

There is a limit beyond which patience ceases to be a virtue. Do not play with their patience, because patience put to the test of disregard turns into anger, revolt and that is exactly what happened yesterday in the student-led protest.
For 138 days, the protest of students and citizens has been clear. A sustainable and civic protest against a prime minister who is today the head of a pyramid of corruption, a majority that refuses to take responsibility, a parliament that does not represent and a hypocritical and scoundrel opposition that offers no solution, but struggles to suck the blood and energy of the protest to make the next bargain. Young people
do not ask for anything that does not belong to them. They do not ask for favors, nor privileges.
They ask for opportunities. They do not ask for their future to be given to them. They ask for it not to be denied to them.
The strength of a government, of a prime minister, is not measured by the ability to subjugate, violate and accuse citizens, above all the young protesters, but by the responsibility to serve them, to listen to them, to hold them accountable, to reflect and to offer solutions.
When a government responds to the demands of citizens with disregard and violence, it does not show strength, but the inability to understand that authority does not stem only from votes, but also from responsibility, justice and respect for human dignity.
No vote, no mandate is a license to humiliate citizens and no government can stand indefinitely on ignoring their voice.
Remember! Patience, when constantly tested, turns into anger, and anger into revolt.
The future has come!
The question is whether this political class will choose to listen, to reflect or will it continue to behave as if nothing has changed.
Flamingos, in 137 days, turned into eagles. And this is the message that politics must understand: that young Albanians have rebelled in the name of the future. They refuse to leave Albania. They have chosen to stay, and this is what Albania needs.
