After her husband, former minister Olta Xhaçka also appears in SPAK

Former Minister of Defense, Olta Xhaçka, appeared this Wednesday at the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).

According to reported information, Xhaçka entered the SPAK premises a few minutes after her husband, former Socialist Party MP Artan Gaçi, had left the prosecution.

After leaving SPAK, Gaçi was questioned by journalists, but did not give any comments regarding his appearance.

According to sources close to SPAK, Artan Gaçi is suspected of money laundering, within the framework of a new investigation related to suspected monetary transfers to several countries.

It is reported that the investigation began after the examination of the phone of a citizen, who has cooperated with justice in another case. During the examination of the materials on the phone, it is suspected that communications related to money transfers were discovered.

According to the same sources, the possibility that the investigations will also extend to Olta Xhaçka, Gaçi's wife and former Minister of Defense, cannot be ruled out.

However, so far there is no official public information clarifying Xhaçka's procedural status or the concrete reason for her appearance at SPAK.
