The youth imprisoned between the SP and the DP is exploding!

By Sidi Hasanaj

The poverty in which this generation has grown up has produced something much more dangerous than discontent: Frustration, despair, and hatred towards a political and economic system that has closed its doors in their eyes.

This new generation has grown up in poverty, and poverty has given birth to a frustrated generation that despises the political-economic system. It is a generation excluded from the country's economy and consequently from the beautiful parts of life that Albania has.

He cannot live in the modern buildings of Tirana, but in the old, dilapidated palaces of communism. He cannot aim for success in his career and work, because he belongs to the children of the political system and the economic oligarchy.

Growing up in neighborhoods that are becoming ghettos, where the shadow of the towers leaves in darkness not only the road, but also the hope of these young people, the shadow of the towers is leaving in darkness the lives of this generation!

Albania is in the midst of a tragedy: The more the country can be built, the more the younger generation feels that they have no place in their homeland, that they are strangers in their own country!

This protest is not even against the Flamingos protest, but a derivative of it.

They are young people and citizens who feel imprisoned within a system with no way out. Wherever they turn, they encounter the same prison bars. In front of them are the bars of Edi Rama's corruption, of a 13-year-old government, of the oligarchs and their rulers. Behind them is a wall rotting from humidity: the Opposition.

This explains why the protesters today contemptuously dismissed Belind Këlliçi, Eno Bozdo and other DP MPs. They know, because they have experienced it in their own skin and that of their parents, that it is the same system and the same extortionist hand.

Ahead of them are the bars of corruption from Edi Rama's thirteen-year government, the connections between power and economic interests, the tenders and privileges that remain inaccessible to many citizens.

They have a rotten wall behind them: the Opposition.

An opposition that has failed to convince this generation that it represents a different future. An opposition that, instead of becoming an alternative to the system, only seeks to take the place of those who administer it.

It's not about specific names, nor about scandals like those of Agas or Balluk. It's about parties that hate justice because they don't want to be held accountable for today's and tomorrow's thefts.

The DP is even fighting justice for yesterday's thefts. Worse than the SP, it refuses to change even in opposition: Its leader is at total war with SPAK and, again, with the American ambassador and the American government.

Political rotation makes no sense if the opposition is the enemy of justice and if its MPs are seen as connected to the oligarchs whose towers cast a shadow over the lives of these young people.

This is why electoral reform is not a technical issue. It is a matter of social peace and the future of the country.

Albania doesn't just need a rotation of power, it needs a rotation of the way power is exercised.

Po ndodh...
