The mother of the late Greek singer, Giorgos Mazonakis, has made her first public statement following her son's death, demanding justice and a full investigation into the circumstances that led to his passing.

"I seek justice for the memory of my child, my beloved Giorgos," she said.

The 54-year-old singer died on September 9 while undergoing plasmapheresis treatment at a private clinic in the Kolonaki area of ​​Athens.

His death is now the subject of a criminal investigation. Two doctors have been involved in the legal proceedings and, according to reports in the case, face charges of possible intentional homicide by omission.

Both defendants deny the allegations and state that they did not commit any act or omission that caused the artist's death. They have also reportedly questioned the circumstances of Mazonakis' transportation by emergency services.

Investigators are carefully examining the final minutes of treatment at the clinic, including warnings that allegedly appeared on the plasmapheresis machine, the time when emergency services were called, and how the medical procedure took place.

The investigation is also examining other actions that, according to investigators, may have influenced the collection and preservation of evidence after the incident. The accused doctors have disputed claims that they ignored critical warnings from the equipment.

Meanwhile, the singer's family continues to seek answers about what happened during the last hours of his life.

For his mother, the message is clear: she demands that the circumstances of her son's death be fully clarified and that justice be served in memory of Giorgos Mazonakis.

The judicial investigation continues and the charges against the two doctors still remain unproven by the court.
