It's never been a shame to say "I'm from Bathor"!

A representative of the Socialist Party said that thanks to the work of the Mayor, it is no longer a shame to be from Bathore.
In fact, those who have lived in Bathore after the '90s have never felt ashamed of the fact that they lived there.
In fact, almost all those who have lived and still live in Bathore have been the object of prejudices, stereotypes and have almost constantly faced strong waves of "racism" and this has happened, not only because of the fact that they lived there, but the residents also stigmatized them because of the fact of their origin, because most were mainly from the North.
The nicknames "malok" and "Chechen", after the '90s and especially after the events of '97, became common public and not only social theses.
Perhaps few remember that after the '90s, Bathore began to be inhabited with improvised plastic houses, cardboard barracks and there were also improvised bunkers in residential apartments.
Most of them had chosen to live there, because Tirana during the Regime had been a forbidden dream for them. Not only that, but also the fact that most of them came from areas that no longer had even the minimum standards of services such as schools, road infrastructure, hospital services or other basic services for a modest lifestyle.
Bathorja is not only not an example to be ashamed of, but it is the most courageous example where almost the majority of urbanization was done by the citizens themselves with their own investments in the face of state institutions that have been very little or not at all present over the years.
Today, Bathorja is the place that has the most beautiful villas, the most beautiful houses and this is thanks to the work of the residents and especially thanks to the contribution of immigrants.
The residents of Bathorja have not had any shame about where they came from or where they lived, but they have often perhaps felt ashamed by the state institutions that have had a small contribution to that great and intensive urbanization process. They have almost always felt abandoned!
