The poetry of CRYSTAL - by Ismail Kadare
It's been a while since we last saw each other and I feel
like I'm slowly forgetting you,
like your memory is dying in me,
like my hair and everything is dying.
Now I'm looking high and low
for a place where I can leave you
a verse or a note, or a diamond
where I can leave you, kiss you, go.
If no tomb, no marble, accepts you , should
a crystal morgue
still have to carry you,
half dead, half alive?
If I can't find a place to throw you,
I'll find a field or a flowerbed,
where I can gently
scatter you everywhere, like pollen.
Maybe I'll deceive you like this
and kiss you and leave without returning
, and neither of us will know if
this was oblivion or not./ Alfapress.al
