Albanian art in mourning, famous actress from Vlora passes away

Another asset of Albanian cinematography and stage has passed away.
It is about Meliha Ferra , the actress and founder of Vlora's professional stage show, who with her courage, talent and strength laid the foundations of performing arts in the coastal city.
The sad news was given this Tuesday afternoon by Vlora journalist Ergys Alushi, who announced that the actress who defied time has closed her eyes forever, leaving her family, the citizens of Vlora, but also all Albanians who followed her art in pain.
"Meliha Ferra passes away. One of the founders of the professional stage of Vlora. One of the actresses of the first stage show "Kalon turjela pirën bucela". One of the first girls of Vlora who broke the prejudices of the time by becoming active and playing on the stage of the city's theater. Meliha Ferra was the wife of the famous comedian, Myqerem Ferra, creating together a charming couple for the Vlora public. Vlora lost an iconic figure of its history, artistic and civic," the journalist writes.
Meliha was one of the first actresses to take to the stage with the play "Kalon turjela pirën bucela", paving the way for the art of humor in the city at a time when girls rarely dared to take to the stage and step into the bright lights of the spotlight.
Mehila Ferra managed to win the hearts of the public for years, but also the respect of her colleagues. Alongside her husband, the well-known comedian Myqerem Ferra, they formed a charming couple, who gave Albanians smiles and emotions for years.
