“God's love is unconditional for all”/ Archbishop Arjan Dodaj: The special Christmas message is manifested in presence. Let's recover support for the family!

Christmas is one of the most important celebrations for millions of believers around the world, who have Jesus Christ at the center of their religious faith.
In an interview on the show "This Week" on News24 with moderator Nisida Tufa, Monsignor Arjan Dodaj spoke about the importance of the Christmas holiday, the main message conveyed by Christmas.
He stated that this day serves as a social reconciliation with peace and forgiveness, while emphasizing that Albanian society must understand that it needs to understand the importance of forgiveness.
"Messages have different forms, the special message of Christmas is that it manifests itself with presence, it is the presence of God. Life is a transition, it is not the definitive status of man. I think that the Christian perspective is to see the light, to see where the solution is. We have come out of communism full of bunkers, but we have not come out of the bunker of mentality, we need to discover the man that Christ accompanies us. Christmas is the manifestation of man with God. During the summer we see that many people go to the beach and tourists also come. But the effect of the sun is also felt by those who do not go to the beach. God's love is unconditional for everyone. God wins us with love," he said.
Also during the interview, Imazot Arjan Dodaj shared some experiences from his childhood, where he expressed that he had greater dedication and harmony.
"We had the grace to live with our grandparents. The signs were especially harmony, care, a great dedication towards us. During the communist era, during the festive season for our grandparents and parents, Christmas was us. So I think it should be again and we should recover social relations," he said.
He further stated that it is very important to recover as much support for the family as possible.
"We have different phases, says Saint Paul himself. When we were children, we lived the holidays for ourselves, but now that we are adults, Christmas is no longer for you. It is beautiful when others celebrate beautifully. The definition of Christmas is a gift because God gives his son. Many families decorate the tree with different gifts because God has given himself to us and we give ourselves to others. We are called to become a gift. Today, we and our children, our fathers, our mothers do not need gifts, but presence. So we must recover as much support for the family as possible. Let's not deprive people of each other", he said, adding: "What is happening in Albania is that there is no politics, but ideology and everyone unfortunately often loses reason, the reason to dialogue and have peace is lost".
