Denmark will contribute 100 million Danish kroner or 11.6 million pounds to a joint European order for ammunition under the EU scheme to help Ukraine.
The news has been confirmed by the Danish Minister of Defense.
Seven EU countries have ordered the munitions to send 155mm artillery shells to Ukraine and replenish depleted Western stockpiles, the European Defense Agency said last week.
"With the removal of the EU defense reserve last year, Denmark has the opportunity to fully participate in European defense cooperation, including the EDA," said Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
The ammunition is expected to be delivered during 2024, the Danish defense ministry said.
