The Albanian MP saves the life of a baby in the Moraça River in

A woman died on Monday after drowning in the Moraca River in Podgorica. Meanwhile, her baby was taken out alive from there and was transferred to the Children's Hospital. The rescue of the baby from the river was done by the Albanian deputy in the Parliament of Sweden, Adnan Dibrani.

The baby who was rescued today from Moraça is in a stable state of health, but there is always a risk of complications, as it is a child who is not even two months old, the doctor in charge from the Intensive Care Department of the Institute for Children's Diseases told RTCG .

"The child is at risk of complications from aspiration and infection. He is being monitored in intensive care and any prognosis is serious, considering that the child is two months old".

The presence of the MP Adnan Dibrani proved to continue there, being part of the observation mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, which followed the day of the elections in Montenegro.

He said in an interview for the newspaper "Pobjeda" that he did not believe that he would succeed.

"I was crossing the bridge and looked towards the water when I saw a woman and a child swimming in the river. Some other boys came, went down to the river and pulled the baby out of the water. While others called an ambulance. I ran towards them and saw that they were holding the baby, who had no signs of life. Since I have a small child at home, I knew what to do in such a situation," said Dibrani.

"I took the baby from them and I tried to do what I know, the best I could, I squeezed the baby, and I got the water out of his lungs. When I heard his clear voice, I rushed to the emergency room and handed over the baby to him", says Dibrani.

He further indicated that the baby had been in the river for several minutes.

"I was just hoping the baby would start breathing. And when I heard his scream, it gave me extra energy to manage to save him," Dibranii said. "I will hug my children, and in my mind I hope that the baby will soon be healthy again with his parents", he told the newspaper "Pobjeda"./kosovapress
