Videos posted on local Russian social media showed smoke and explosions near Sochi's Adler Air Base, but the extent of the damage was unclear at the time of publication.

Ukraine's military intelligence was behind the drone attack, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

The Smolensk aircraft factory, which appears to have been the target of the attack, is part of the state-owned Tactical Missile Armaments Corporation.
