PHOTO/ The PKK terrorist responsible for the attack in Ankara has been identified

One of the two terrorists responsible for Sunday's attack in the Turkish capital Ankara has been identified, the interior ministry said.

PKK terrorist Hasan Oguz, codenamed Kanivar Erdal, was identified as a result of DNA research and analysis, the ministry said in a statement on Monday.

Investigations to identify the other terrorist continue, the ministry added. The attack happened at 9:30 am local time, where a terrorist blew himself up in front of the General Directorate of Security. Two policemen suffered minor injuries, while the other terrorist was killed by security forces at the entrance.

The injured policemen are still being treated but their lives are out of danger, according to the Turkish Interior Minister.
