The Minister of the Interior of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, announced a little while ago that the killer of the Serbian policeman has been eliminated.
What led to the location of Faton Hajrizi seems to have been information received from residents of the area where he was hiding.
Serbia's Ministry of Internal Affairs released a photo of a crime suspect after a local reported seeing a person of that description near Viskoza's former gas station.
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in large numbers blocked the entire area and Drinska street. He was located and killed while it is claimed that this happened because Hajrizi shot at the police while resisting.
Serbian media have published footage of Faton Hajriz right after his murder. His body can be seen lying on the ground.
Hajrizi killed the Serbian policeman Nikola Krsmanovic and injured Vjekoslav Ilić, who stopped the car in which he was sitting.
