KFOR and EULEX increase cooperation, provide more security in Kosovo

The Commander of KFOR, General Enrico Barduani, and the Head of EULEX, Giovanni Pietro Barbanome, signed today the Revised Joint Operational Procedures between these two international missions operating in Kosovo.
These procedures are an important step towards strengthening cooperation between KFOR and EULEX, with the aim of improving the possibilities for joint operations in the field of security.
In a press release, KFOR emphasized that these new procedures aim to enhance understanding and cooperation between the two missions, while always respecting their respective mandates and responsibilities as security responders. This cooperation aims to better integrate civilian and military efforts to enhance security, stability and peace in Kosovo.
Furthermore, KFOR continues to operate in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244, which enables the mission to contribute to the creation of a safe and secure environment for all citizens and communities in Kosovo, as well as to guarantee freedom of movement. Close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and EULEX is essential to the achievement of these goals.
