March for "March 8" in Kosovo, women attack police station with smoke bombs
The collective "We March, We Don't Celebrate" has continued its traditional march to mark International Women's Day in Kosovo, with the motto "We March for Each Other".
During the march, women held the Palestinian flag, expressing solidarity with the attacks on civilians in Gaza. A banner reading "A better future is possible" was also placed at the Ombudsman's office.
The women continued their march towards the Kosovo Police building, where they threw red paint and smoke bombs near the main entrance of the police station. While using loudspeakers, they mentioned the names of women killed in recent years in Kosovo.
"Down with the patriarchal police, the police have their hands full of the blood of murdered women," the protesters declared.
The march then continued towards the Kosovo Judicial Council building, conveying messages against violence against women and demanding justice for the victims.
