Coincidence or planned? The truth behind the photo between Adem Jashari and
A rare photograph from 1991, which shows the former president of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova, and the KLA commander, Adem Jashari, at Rinas airport, has been an enigma that for years has fueled various speculations and theories. .

But recently in the show "FACTS with Adnan MEROVCIN, the testimonies of two associates of Rugova - Ermir Hizmo and Flamur Jata - shed light on the events of that unusual day.

Adnan Merovci, present during that time, emphasizes the importance of the moment and the heartbreaking origin of the photograph.

"At the beginning of the 1990s, the legendary Adem Jashari was in Tirana and had constant contact with the Kosovo office in Tirana. Much has been said about this photograph, first it was said that it is a photomontage, then that Ademi shot there by accident, that he did not meet Rugova at all, etc. but for the sake of truth, importance and weight, I want to clearly explain the genesis of this photograph".

"I want to clarify that not everyone in such circumstances could be close to me in a public activity, so Ademi was not there by chance, but came deliberately based on my invitation and his willingness to come from the Kosovo office in Tirana to Rinas airport. The contact was made through Skënder Zogaj and Mehmet Kraja", said Merovci.

Meanwhile, Ermir Hizmo, responsible for Rugova's security in Albania, says that everyone was aware of Jashar's presence, but not the full details of his position and role.

"Our exchanges were short, but loaded with meaning."

"Adem Jashari was a key figure, although we all did not fully know his role at the time," says Hizmo.

Flamur Jata, officer of the Albanian Guard, further adds other dimensions to this event, recalling the atmosphere and intensity of that moment.

"The meeting was pleasant and we all felt its importance. But it is clearly seen that it was not a coincidence, but a planned and important meeting," affirms Jata.

This press conference and photo that has survived through the years is now supported by direct evidence of those who were present, giving up on conspiracy theories and confirming an important chapter of Kosovo's history./Telegrafi
