The new commander of KFOR, the Italian general Barduani, visits Kosovo

The ambassador of Italy in Kosovo, Antonello de Riu, today welcomed the new commander of KFOR, Major General Enrico Barduani, at the airport.

The Italian Embassy, ​​through a post on the "X" platform, said that Ambassador De Rio warmly welcomed the new KFOR commander, who officially takes over the leadership of the NATO peacekeeping force in Kosovo on October 11.

" This marks the 14th time of the leadership of the NATO mission from Italy, reaffirming our unwavering commitment to security in Kosovo ," the announcement states.

Italian General Barduani replaces Turkish General Ozkan Ulutas as head of KFOR.
