NASA discovers a new planet with possible conditions for life

NASA, with the help of the James Webb Telescope, discovered the planet TWA 7b, 34 light years away, which is about 100 times the mass of Earth and is located in the potentially habitable zone.

Preliminary analyses suggest that it is a young and cold planet, with a temperature of around 49 degrees Celsius, which fits into the temperature range where life can survive.

The planet orbits the young red dwarf star TWA 7, surrounded by a disk of dust.

This is the first direct image of the planet from the Webb telescope, using a high-contrast technique that allows faint objects to be seen next to bright stars.

The discovery confirms that the telescope can also find low-mass planets near stars and offers new insights into the formation and structure of planetary systems.
