Balluk's arrest, SPAK's new request arrives at the Parliament

SPAK has sent to the Presidency of the Parliament the second request for lifting the immunity of MP Belinda Balluku. Although the Parliament has not publicly announced the initiation of the requested procedures and the non-obstruction of justice. In addition to the measure of banning her from leaving the country, SPAK is expected to re-request the arrest of the defendant Balluku.
Corruption, laundering of proceeds of crime, within the framework of a structured criminal group, are the new charges of the Special Structure. Of course, the existing case is also attached to the material, where there is the charge of violating equality in tenders.
The Council of Regulations and Mandates must receive the request and, after familiarizing itself with the new file, open a session with the defendant and send the report proposing the removal of the mandate to the plenary session as soon as possible. The first request was delayed and rejected by the socialist majority on the orders of Edi Rama. This also led to a radical report by IBAR, where the refusal to remove the mandate of the defendant Belinda Balluku was considered an obstruction of justice.
In the expanded investigations, the prosecution has expanded the actions and numerous checks on Balluk's associates, family members, but also businessmen. Let's remember last week the seizure of a villa in Dhërmi. The arrest of the defendant Igli Tara and the investigation of Pandeli Carapuli on charges of money laundering.
This file necessarily involves investigative actions against Prime Minister Edi Rama. The intercepted messages also reveal the Prime Minister's involvement in economic favors for several tenders and services addressed to his businessmen clients.
Brussels and Washington have considered the independence of the judiciary, the non-influence of the government and the CM to be non-negotiable, speaking by name for the former deputy prime minister, now a defendant. The battle of pressures with wiretapping between the number one and two of the Rama and Balluku government is the big clash against SPAK. The Special Structure also has other demands in its hands.
