Basha presents the program for small businesses: Local tax no more than 1% of turnover, 0 profit tax, end of abusive inspections. Support for SPAK, so that the money goes to the citizens, not to Rama's friends

The political leader of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, Lulzim Basha, held a meeting with representatives of small businesses, where he presented some of the key points of the coalition's program to support this sector. Basha emphasized the coalition's commitment to exempt small businesses from the central government's profit tax, emphasizing the payment of local taxes and fees that will not exceed 1% of annual turnover.
He explained that this step is a necessary stimulus for small businesses, however, he stressed that this measure alone would not be enough if businesses continue to face a decline in turnover and purchasing power. For this reason, Basha spoke about the plan that includes eliminating abuses by state inspectorates and institutions, placing fiscal stamps on the exterior premises of small businesses and making the presence of any tax inspector illegal.
"We are not giving up on the plan that we reconfirmed on June 1, which foresees that small businesses in Albania will be completely exempt from central government attacks. So, no tax on profits from the central government, with the only fiscal obligation being the payment of local taxes and fees that cannot exceed 1% of annual turnover. Of course, this is a breather for small businesses, but it is also insufficient if they continue to face a continuous decline in turnover, purchasing power and, as a result, profit margins. So this step, together with the other step that eliminates de facto, almost 100% the abuse of state institutions, inspectorates, local and central police and everything else, which is the placement of fiscal stamps on the external premises of small businesses, which disables or makes illegal the presence of any tax officer or any other type with the claim that they are conducting an inspection. All this cannot be understood without a very "great for the health of the economy as a whole," he said.
Basha also explained that reducing the fiscal burden on businesses with the 9% tax will stimulate investments, increase salaries and bonuses for employees, contributing to increased consumption and strengthening the economy.
"And here, despite the fact that small businesses are not affected, the 9% flat tax that applies to the rest of the business aims to reduce the fiscal burden, giving more financial incentives to businesses, whether to invest and reinvest, or to spend a portion that today cannot spend due to economic difficulties, on salaries or financial incentives, bonuses for employees. To be an aspect that helps stabilize and increase consumption, which means more money in the market, more money in the pockets of citizens, more money in the pockets of consumers, more purchases of products and services, more circulation of lek, without a doubt this will also be felt by small businesses" - said Basha.
He stressed the importance of justice reform and support for SPAK, as a prerequisite for the fight against corruption and for the protection of budget money, which currently ends up in the hands of a few people through shady deals and tenders. Finally, Basha stressed that only an effective fight against corruption can bring a real impact on the country's economy and improve conditions for businesses and citizens.
"Wherever we turn, no visionary, long-term and effective policy can be implemented, cannot be executed in the absence of continued support for SPAK and the fight against corruption, as far as the future government is concerned. Only the further advancement of the Justice Reform, the strengthening of SPAK, building on the exemplary and so far solid practice of the fight against impunity is a prerequisite for the money that has so far benefited a handful of people through corrupt affairs, concessions, public tenders, and property expropriation, to be redirected to the economy, to the pockets of citizens. Part of it through fiscal incentives to business and through the pockets of citizens, back into circulation to small businesses and beyond," Basha continued.
