Berisha from Unit 7: Either a technical government or confrontation, we will never accept this government again

"Either a technical government, or confrontation ." This is the call issued this evening by the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during his speech to the citizens of Unit 7 in the capital.
"We are now in the field. We are now in the square. We now have an enemy in front of us, who with his positions does not create choices. Let's create a technical government, let's go towards elections, otherwise we can never accept this government. But this is only one side and this is the main one, I tell you. This is the main one. The second side, just as important, just as important, is the plundering of citizens. Therefore, these are the two major reasons why we as a political force have a mission, we have a historical mission, the most difficult one", said Berisha.
Berisha accused the prime minister of having lost all legitimacy and that the mandates won in what he described as an electoral farce are being used as a shield for crime and the plunder of citizens.
"Any government that steals from its citizens loses legitimacy. Even if it has emerged from free, fair and excellent elections, it is stealing from its citizens, it loses legitimacy. Because it has used power to steal from its citizens."
Berisha focused on the opposition's accusations of corruption and financial affairs, citing a chain of abuses that he said amounted to at least 12 billion euros. He accused the government of using parliamentary immunity to shield senior officials from justice.
"We as the Democratic Party have denounced everything and this is what these affairs that have come out now. And where are we? Now those mandates for crime, those mandates obtained with Elvis Doçi, with Çela, with the Troplins, those mandates obtained by forgiving 2 billion fines, now turn into protection for crime, into armor and protect Belinda Balluku, in fact Edi Rama. And he says, for the first time, for the first time, no he says, he does not remove his immunity", emphasized the Democratic leader.
According to Berisha, elections in Albania have been a farce since 2017, while the "Black Book of Elections" has stigmatized the government in the international arena. He stressed that with Edi Rama there can be no free elections and that the opposition has a historic mission to restore free voting.
"He made his choice. He made his choice. And in '21 he prepared the biggest farce in history, 2025. He carried out the farce in 2023. But we did not forgive him. I tell you here. That Black Book, that Black Book that we published and made, he blackened the page and the elections for him. And if the elections of May 25th were marked from the first day, in the first report like never before, they were marked because the Black Book that we called was factified, factified to the world what electoral farce this enemy of the world's freedom is doing to Albanians."
