Vlora has 12 MP mandates in these elections, only 4 years ago these mandates were divided 4 for the Democratic Party and 8 for the Socialist Party.

The political leader was the prime minister himself for the SP and Bujar Leskaj from the DP, as well as Luan Rama from the LSi who did not manage to become an MP.

After 4 years, the DP, now with Berisha at the helm, is going with Bujar Leskaj as the regional leader, the SP has elected Bledi Çuçi as the regional leader, while the novelty is Basha's party, which has within it the head of the branch Gjergj Nika and also the MP Gëzim Ademaj.

PL representatives have already joined the open list of the DP, while the Lapaj and Dash Shehit parties are on open lists.

Based on 2023, the Socialist Party defeated Berisha in all municipalities except Himara, which was won by Fredi Beleri, but the latter was arrested in flagrante by the state police for vote buying, the rerun of the elections led to the victory of the SP, which sent there Vangjel Tavo, the former exponent of the LSI, minister and MP for several terms with this political force in Gjirokastra.

The DP list in Vlora has also been criticized for the name of Vangjel Dule, which has been placed on the closed list of the DP.
The only new name on the closed list is that of Atird Hoxha.
On the other hand, the SP has chosen to have a complete recycling with new names, where the name of Zamira Sinaj, who was once part of the DP, and also the former director of archives Ardit Bido stand out.
But the most interesting fact is that Damian Gjiknuri and Vulllnet Sinaj are on the open list, while the new Minister of Defense Pirro Vëngu is on the closed list.

The Euro-Atlanticists in Vlora who are running on the open list stand out with the head of the branch Gjergj Nika, as well as the current MP Gëzim Ademaj who comes from the Cham community.

The Right 1912 is also competing on the Vlora lists with names like Edvin Kulluri or Arbër Agalliu.

An interesting fact is that in these elections two political leaders of new parties come from the Vlora district. Agron Shehaj (Vlora) and Adriatik Lapaj (Saranda) have not chosen to run in this district but in Tirana./ Alfapress.al
