Socialist MP: I was touched by the protest of my fellow citizens in Durrës, Rama made it easier for us

Socialist Party MP Eva Budini reacted on social media after the visit of the Prime Minister and Socialist Mayor to Durrës, describing his presence and engagement as "a moment of relief".
Through a post she made on Facebook, she expressed that for weeks she has been following with concern the situation of her fellow citizens affected by the TID project.
Budini has stated that he is between two strong positions, such as "desiring a more dignified and transformed Durrës", but also sensitivity towards the families affected by this project.
She also announced that there will be a review of the financial assessment for the affected properties, as well as for some unregistered objects.

"The arrival of the Prime Minister and SP Leader, Edi Rama, in Durrës, his presence and public commitment to dialogue and review, was for me personally a moment of relief.
As I have watched and followed for weeks the efforts, concerns, and anxiety of my fellow citizens affected by the TID project, I have felt a heavy burden of responsibility on my shoulders.
On the one hand, my strong desire for a more dignified and transformed Durrës in the function of cultural and historical tourism, as well as the responsibility of implementing the laws in force. On the other hand, my very high sensitivity for the families directly affected by this project.
There have been moments where, as a citizen, I have thought that I could be one of them, that my home, the toil, sweat, and sacrifice of a lifetime could be put into question.
As a member of parliament, my responsibility is deeper for the property of my fellow citizens, because for us Albanians, also due to the history of our existence as a people, the house is not simply an asset, but it is life, it is the continuity of the family, it is memory, it is roots, history, it is pride in what we leave behind for generations.
Therefore, I had no doubt that there would be a review of the financial assessment, as well as a review of some unregistered objects, with full verifications and reflection on price references, so that the process is as fair and transparent as possible.
Because a developed Durrës only makes sense when there are no citizens who associate its development with heavy memories and spiritual suffering of the loss of wealth, but feel heard, respected and protected by their state!
