A day after the new DASH report that ' sinks ' Sali Berisha, another signal has come from the Donald Trump administration that there is no possibility of removing the non grata.
The Democratic Party leader has repeatedly claimed that the ' non grata ' punishment was inflicted by Joe Biden and that the new US administration would remove it.
But recently, current Secretary of State Marco Rubio has reopened the punishment of senior officials, hitting powerful people in world politics.
In a post on X, he warned that he had punished the former president of Argentina and a former minister for involvement in corruption.
“ Today, I announced the sanctioning under Law 7031(c) of former Argentine President Cristina Elisabet Fernandez de Kirchner and former Argentine Minister of Planning Julio Miguel De Vido for their involvement in significant corruption during their time in public office. The United States is committed to ensuring accountability for corrupt officials around the world ,” Rubio wrote in X.
The US Department of State published the “International Narcotics Control Strategy Report 2025” which praised the work of Albanian authorities in the fight against organized crime and money laundering. The State Department praised SPAK’s achievements, most notably the indictment of Sali Berisha for the “Partizani” affair, enriching his family.
