"Në Shënjestër" brought to attention details from investigative file 339, where the name of one of the leaders of the Shijak gang, Astrit Avdylaj, emerged in the wiretaps.
Avdylaj, according to wiretaps, was engaged in the 2017 electoral process to collect as many votes as possible for the SP.
In a communication with the director of the Waterworks in Shijak, Avdylaj shows that he is in the company of Elton Arbana (the chairman of the Socialist Party in Shijak at the time of the wiretapping and currently a candidate for the Shijak municipality) and from the conversation it is clearly seen that he also predetermines who will be on the safe list of the Socialist Party in Durrës, that of Ilir Ndraxhi.
Astrit Avdylaj, the leader of the Avdylaj criminal group in Shijak, calls the mayor of Shijak to arrange a meeting with him, Vangjush Dakon, the mayor of Durrës, and a candidate with prospects and a future 'Liri' (Ilir Ndraxhi). A person that the Avdylaj criminal group wants to be appointed as the SP candidate for deputy.
"Tomorrow we have a meeting at 10 am. Me, you, Gjushi, Liri, Liri's brother, and Jupi will have a coffee tomorrow in Durrës at 10 am, I took you at your word today," says Astrit Avdylaj in the phone conversation.
In another phone call, the head of the Shijak criminal group inquires from Ilir Ndraxhi's brother if Prime Minister Rama has called him.
After the conversation that apparently Avdylaj made, Ilir Ndraxhi was on the safe list in the Durrës District, in the 2017 parliamentary elections.
Astrit Avdylaj calls the brother of the prospective MP and asks him if his brother has received any calls (from above) to be confirmed as a SP candidate.
Astrit further vows that they will work very hard so that they can surprise the long-term with a positive result of 10 to 0.
A few days later, Ilir Ndraxhi is confirmed as the SP candidate for Durrës, representing the interests of the criminal clan in exchange for maximum support for the SP campaign in Durrës.
"Okay, I'm waiting. We have it in our pocket. He told me. We're just waiting, like they told me."
