Arlind Qorri, leader of Lévizje Bashke, and former candidate for the Municipality of Tirana, has rejected the invitation of the leader of 'Albania becomes', Adriatik Lapaj, who asked for a broad union of small parties. The reason for the lack of cooperation between Qorri and Lapaj seems to be the approach they have towards oligarchs and businesses, as well as the fear that the head of "Bashke" has that the lawyer and his people may one day be sold to Edi Rama, Zëri reports. .
How the controversy started between them
Initially, it was Adriatik Lapaj, who made a public invitation to all the new movements to be a single body in the upcoming parliamentary elections, with the aim of maximizing the votes of the gray electorate. His invitation excluded any elements related to PD-SP-LSI, while only the representatives of Nisma Thurje, Endri Shabani and Pano Soko, have responded positively so far.
Invited to "Te pashhoq", Qorri said that there was no negotiation between him and Lapaj, while he openly expressed his disbelief that the "Albania Becomes" movement can be sold to the government.
"Two or three months ago, I was in a debate with Mr. Lapaj, who initially told me that he believed in me as an honest man. The Joint Movement aims to hit the oligarchy name by name. And I told you why you don't do such a thing, and you told me that I am not a finer. In other words, a man who told me that I was honest accused me of a fine. Cooperation should be an honest thing, no my mother told me. No one has invited me for cooperation, there have never been any negotiations, I don't even have the phone number. I have not communicated, nor has anyone tried. These are words to get out in the media, and to do the interesting thing. If they say they talked to Arlind Qorri, they are lying. Who guarantees me that these people will not be sold tomorrow to Edi Rama", said Qorri.
For Adriatik Lapaj, Qorri's claims do not stand, because he thinks that the real oligarchs in Albania are the politicians, and the businessmen simply change according to the governments in power.
"We in public life are here to provide a different model, to give citizens hope that the new is not like the old. I am not here to deal with anyone personally, I am here to confront Edi Rama and Sali Berisha. As for the oligarchs, I think it's a conceptual issue, since I think the real owners are the politicians. If you remember, 15 years ago there was an important politician, Rezart Taçi, have you heard about him today, after he was released by politics. That's why I say that the real owners are the politicians. If you want names, we can do it, there is a list of 1,000 people, of which 100 are big bulls, if you say two out of 100 or out of 1,000, you have made a selection.
The point is that we have to be serious, we are here to set political standards. I entered politics to deal with principles. I am not afraid of one and the other at all. The problem is that all these businessmen have an owner who is a politician, if one businessman fell, 100 others rise up, who gave these concessions, did they get them themselves or did the politicians sign it? God Qorri is waiting for these people to come out and kill your conscience, here they are gone, we took them out of the country, others will come in their place.
I come here and say my vision, Mr. Qorri thinks differently, this is not a reason for me not to cooperate with him. Albania is in a clinical death. I, Adriatik Lapaj, on behalf of the group I represent, have several times invited new subjects, inviting them publicly, to create a state-making pole. I have personally met Mr. Soko, Mr. Shabani, and third persons who are close to Mr. Qorri, perhaps they did not tell him. I reached out, the whole of Albania has my number.
