Document/ The DP paid 800 thousand dollars for the removal of Berisha's "Non Grata", only in 2025!

Over 800 thousand dollars were paid in 2025 to lift the non-grata designation for democratic leader Sali Berisha.

A DP financial report, obtained exclusively by VNA, shows that during 2025, 4 payments were made, with a total value of 69,423,511 lek, or $830,000.

The DP has reported these transactions as in-kind donations on its own account, with the explanation that the legal entity 'Make Albania Great Again' was for legal services and consultancy according to a contract signed on March 30 of last year.

The contract was signed a few weeks before the elections at a staggering cost of $6 million, but the DP said it is the beneficiary of the service and not its payer.

According to him, the payments were made by Albanians in America.

It is not known whether the contract is in force or not, for the remaining part of the payments, when its main goal, the removal of the woman's name or a visit by Berisha to the US before the May 11 elections, failed.

The contract was signed between the DP and Continental Strategy, where one of the managers is Katie Wiles, the daughter of Susie Wiles, who served as President Trump's campaign manager in 2024, a close associate of Chris LaCivita, who is Berisha's electoral campaign manager.
