Skënder Hita has been elected the new Director of the State Police. The decision was made today and announced by the Minister of Interior Besfort Lamallari. 

Today, at the meeting of the Council of Ministers, we approved the decision to grant the rank of Major Director and appoint the General Director of the State Police, Mr. Skënder Hita. This is a decision based on merit, professionalism and integrity. Skënder Hita has emerged as one of the most highly rated candidates from a competitive process, demonstrating outstanding experience, clear strategic vision and unwavering commitment to the law and citizens.

The State Police has a key role in guaranteeing public order and security. Therefore, its leadership requires not only professional skills, but also honesty, ethics and high public responsibility.
