Democratic Party MP, Dashnor Sula, has reacted after the conditional release from prison yesterday of former MP Ervin Salianji, showing the hypocrisy of the DP leadership, who used Salianji with handcuffs in their hands and abandoned him when he was released.

Through a post on social media, Sula writes that the DP welcomed Salianji with jealousy after his release from prison.

He continued by saying that no one from the DP leadership deigned to receive Salianji yesterday, while adding that this shows that the party is fighting to maintain the status quo and not to maximize votes.

"They greeted him with "oiiiiii", they welcomed him with jealousy.

Yesterday, Ervin Salianji was released from political imprisonment, after nearly 10 months of unjust isolation. For Salianji, showing up in handcuffs is a medal of sacrifice in the public interest.

But, yesterday morning, Salianji was released from prison and before meeting his biological family, he headed to his political family to meet members of the political family. To be appreciated!

None of the leadership deigned to wait for him. I don't understand where all those devout people who were ready to stand up to prevent the court's decision from being executed went?!

Why were those senior leaders happier when Salianji was going to prison than now that he's out? Yesterday should have been a moment of celebration for the Democratic Party, but in fact the opposite happened.

What happened yesterday in the DP best demonstrates the situation the party is in. They have no intention of winning or losing, but are fighting for those positions within the party and some position in Parliament. For the positions in the party, Salianji is a potential candidate, while the "galoshes" have all come together to smother Salianji without him coming.

Once again, the DP proves that it does not aim for maximization but will maintain the status quo. They are the most relentless fighters to fight each other , "writes Sula.
