The leader of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition and Euro-Atlantic Democrats, Endri Hasa, said today on 'Repolitix' in the Report TV studio that they did not come out to the elections to be the opposition of the opposition, but a competition to win a race against the government.
He expressed his unreserved support for justice and SPAK, regardless of who the person is being investigated and tried.
Hasa brought to attention the fact that the leader of the coalition, Lulzim Basha, was the only one to propose in Parliament the law to lift the immunity of MPs, as well as vetting in politics, but both were rejected.
"The Euro-Atlantic Coalition enters the elections to win the elections. We do not call those who are not in our party the opposition, but competitors. We are asking for votes for number four. We oppose the government every day, even in the campaign, for Rama's mismanagement in 12 years. Our support for SPAK and justice is unequivocal, full support. When justice speaks, politics must remain silent," he said.
And he brought to attention some of the initiatives of the coalition he represents over the years, in support of justice and for an Albania towards the future. Regarding the "Partizani" file and the Berisha investigation, Hasa said that "when the court speaks, politics is silent" and "everyone should be equal before the law and justice."
"Lulzim Basha personally filed the law to lift the immunity of MPs in Parliament, which was defeated. If that law had been approved, Arben Ahmetaj would not have escaped by taking advantage of that immunity, but would have faced justice, at the doors of SPAK. Just like the vetting in politics, which must be done. We are in support of justice even if SPAK knocks on our door, without any distinction ," said Hasa, among other things.
He pointed out that if the vote goes for Sali Berisha, it goes to make Meta an MP and get him out of Prison 313.
"The Euro-Atlantic Coalition bases its campaign on a real national program. The fight against corruption is primary. Whoever abuses power must be investigated and face justice."
"Today it is a fact that the DP is seeking votes to make Ilir Meta an MP, and to remove him from the 313. They are doing it openly, simply and clearly. Everyone is responsible for what they have done before the courts. We have never discussed the decisions of the court and justice ," he argued.
