GJKKO ordered an investigation into Olta Xhaçka and her husband, SPAK appeals, the hearing is postponed

The Special Court ordered SPAK to register criminal proceedings against former Minister Olta Xhaçka and her husband Artan Gaçi, but the prosecution has appealed the decision to the Special Anti-Corruption Appeal. Today's hearing was postponed to May 8.
The Special Prosecution Office opposed the decision of the Special Court of First Instance, which on April 1, 2025 ordered the registration of a criminal complaint and the initiation of investigations against the couple, in connection with the construction of a seaside resort, previously announced by the government as a "strategic investment".
The decision for the investigation was made by Judge Flora Hajredinaj, following the complaint filed by Fredi Beleri, who accuses Xhaçka and Gaçi of abuse of office, forgery of documents and money laundering, in collaboration.
The hearing was scheduled to take place this Friday, April 25, at 10:00, but has been postponed to early May.
