Habit Tomor Alizoti, campaigns for Ilir Meta's party in Elbasan

Tomor Alizoti has surprised public opinion with his recent positions and movements on the political scene, proving once again that he is one of the most contradictory and unstable figures in Albanian politics. Once a harsh critic of Ilir Meta and the extreme left, today Alizoti is on the ground in Elbasan, campaigning for the candidacy of Edmond Haxhinasto, representative of the Freedom Party.

From Basha to Berisha, Tomor Alizoti has emerged as a spineless politician, who changes positions depending on personal interests. Instead of focusing on promoting the Democratic Party and its values, he appears alongside left-wing candidates, contributing to the blurring of ideological boundaries and the confusion of the right-wing electorate.

Alizoti claims to represent the politically persecuted, but his actions speak otherwise. Supporting a figure like Edmond Haxhinasto, a former exponent of the left-wing government, is an insult to the legacy and suffering of those who were truly persecuted by the communist regime.

Even more paradoxical is Alizoti’s statement a few days ago, where he claimed that the gangs in Elbasan support the Socialist Party 100%. Today, the same Alizoti is seeking “his percentage” of support, lining up alongside the SP’s rivals in Elbasan – including figures linked to well-known criminal groups like the Çapajs, who are on the DP’s joint list in this city.

Tomor Alizoti is the clearest example of what a right-wing politician should not be – without principles, without consistency, and above all without moral honesty in front of the voters. His behavior does not help the opposition, on the contrary, it weakens it and makes it ridiculous in the eyes of the public.
