Gjergji Nika, candidate for deputy of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition in Vlora, has reacted harshly to the behavior of socialist councilors in the Municipality of Vlora.

In a public statement, Nika explains that today, at 10:00, the next meeting of the Municipal Council was scheduled to be held, where important draft decisions with a direct impact on the social, economic and legal life of citizens would be discussed.

While the opposition councilors were all present in the hall as of 09:50, only 10 of the 34 socialist councilors showed up.

As a result, due to the lack of the necessary quorum, the meeting failed and the opposition councilors left at 10:30.

Despite the efforts of the Municipality leaders and the socialist group to gather the rest of the councilors, their absence continued, showing, according to Nika, a deep lack of respect for citizens and institutional responsibilities.

"Arrogance has only one name: the Socialist Party!" — emphasizes Gjergji Nika, calling on the citizens of Vlora to punish with a vote on May 11 those who do not represent them and who do not respect their public duties.

Dear citizens of Vlora!

The next meeting of the Vlora Municipality Council was scheduled to be held today at 10:00.

At this meeting, according to the agenda, several important social/economic/legal draft decisions that have a direct impact on citizens would be discussed.

All opposition councilors were in the meeting room at 09:50 to start the meeting, the opposite happened with the socialist councilors, who out of the 34 councilors they represent, only 10 of them were there!

The opposition councilors left the meeting hall at 10:30 am after there was no quorum to continue the meeting. Even after attempts by the leaders of the Municipality and the Socialist group to insistently call on the councilors to participate in the meeting, the Socialists still did not respond!

Honorable citizens, these councilors do not represent you and arrogance has only one name: the Socialist Party!

On May 11th, they should be punished with a vote AGAINST!
