"I demand transparency and accountability", Karabina's denunciation: How much does the incinerator cost the Municipality of Elbasan every year from its budget?

With a direct reaction on social networks, the candidate for the Elbasan municipal council, Mirela Karbina, has raised serious concerns about the way public funds are administered and institutional transparency in the Municipality of Elbasan.

It has submitted two official requests for information, which relate to the tender for the water supply and sewage network in the city, as well as the costs and operation of the waste incinerator.

According to her, citizens deserve clear answers about the works that have turned Elbasan into a permanent construction site, as well as about the funds being spent on an incinerator whose efficiency remains questionable.

Today I am here to demand transparency and accountability from the Municipality of Elbasan based on the concerns raised in meetings with students, parents, retirees, professionals in the field, and citizens on a number of issues that directly affect their lives.
Yesterday and today I submitted two requests for information, addressed to the Mayor, regarding:
1. The tender for the works on the “Qemal Stafa” Boulevard and throughout the city on the water supply and sewage network, which have turned Elbasan into a construction site. I request the full publication of the documentation for the tender of the Municipality of Elbasan for the water supply and sewage network. Have all legal procedures been implemented? When is the deadline for completion and when will 24-hour water be available? ? Why are the works being delayed and the deadlines not being respected? 2. The Cost of the Incinerator for the Municipality of Elbasan How much does the incinerator cost the Municipality of Elbasan every year from its budget? I demand full transparency on contracts, invoicing and payments made to date. Are all three waste management processes carried out: collection, processing and incineration? If not, what is the reason?
