Requests removal of security measures, today's hearing in the Appeal of the Criminal Court for Balluk and her subordinates

The Special Appeal will hold a hearing today at 11:00 for Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and her subordinates. Balluku has requested in the Appeal of the GJKKO the lifting of two security measures, that of suspension from duty and a ban on leaving the country.
This session takes place at a time when SPAK is seeking authorization from the Assembly to arrest Balluk. This request was imposed after the Constitutional Court's decision that reinstated Balluk until the review of Prime Minister Rama's appeal, for the resolution of the conflict of competences between the GJKKO and the Council of Ministers.
Belinda Balluku has been charged with violating equality in tenders for the Llogara Tunnel tender with a limit fund of 190 million euros. Meanwhile, SPAK has officially launched investigations against her not only for lot 4, but for all 7 lots of the Great Ring Road, a project for which 450 million euros have been prosecuted.
Meanwhile, the security measure has also been appealed by KESH director Erald Elezi, against whom the GJKKO has imposed a house arrest measure. He is accused of violating equality in tenders and the measure was imposed on him for two tenders worth 210 million euros, the Llogara Tunnel and Lot 4 of the Grand Ring Road. He was Director of the Strategic Planning and Operations Directorate at the ARRSH when the Llogara tender was held and a member of the Bid Evaluation Commission for the Grand Ring Road tender.
The head of the ARRSH, Gentian Gjyli, has also requested the easing of the house arrest security measure. He is accused by SPAK of "Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions" and the security measure has been imposed on him only for the Llogara tunnel.
