DP lobbying contract, Rama: 6 million euros for removing the stigma of a non-woman, where did they find the money?
Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with the women and girls of Vlora as part of the electoral campaign of the Socialist Party that he leads.
And while SPAK will verify a lobbying contract between the Democratic Party and the United States worth 6 million euros, Rama has decided to use it in his electoral campaign as an attack on his main political opponent.
Rama asks the question of where the Democratic Party found such a high amount of money to remove the "non-wife" of the Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha.
The democrat camp has explained that the money for the contract with the American company 'Continental' is being paid off by immigrant patriots. The head of government ironized this by saying that "the poor flower of the desert became a rag for 500 thousand."
Taking advantage of the opportunity, the socialist leader asked for votes for his party in the May 11 parliamentary elections, once again highlighting the advantage of Albania's membership in the European Union.
"I believe that all of you who are here today, like all the others who follow this match in your daily life, are surprised today by the fact that 6 million euros were paid. A contract was made for 6 million euros, patriots say. We remind you that the poor Luli became a rag for 500 thousand.
But 6 million euros to remove the persona non grata stamp is really a lot, not to mention the question of where all this money came from. And how can it be that simply and solely for the sake of one person, more money is paid than what the Albanian state gives to all political parties taken together?
It's strange when you think that we were told that if Trump came, he would leave non grata, now they are willing to pay 6 million euros in the hope that he will leave non grata. Even if he stays, or if he leaves, this is not the issue of the overwhelming majority of Albanians, who are today at a historic moment, and they must make a historic decision.
Because, on May 11, it is not a choice between two political camps. It is a choice between Albania in the EU, in Europe, and the national interest of an entire people and the private troubles of an 80-something year old who continues to try to make Albania miserable. It is a choice between the common good, regardless of political beliefs, because it is about the great opportunity that has been given to us," said Rama.
