From the field, the candidate for MP of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, Alfred Ahmetcenaj, has made a denunciation of the construction of the New Ring Road overpass near the technological school.
According to Ahmetcenaj's video message, the newly built overpass has not only blocked the safe movement of citizens, but also puts them at risk of death every day when crossing the road between cars, focusing the camera precisely on this dangerous movement.
" Honorable fellow citizens of Tirana and all of Albania, I am at the roundabout of the Technological School, which connects Kombinati Road with the New Ring Road. I am here to denounce two moments that are scandalous in my opinion.
First, before this overpass of the New Ring Road was built, which is not functional, there was a pedestrian crossing here that made it possible to connect the Combine with the rest of the city of Tirana, a crossing that no longer exists and citizens are forced to cross the road of cars, risking their lives every day .
He continues by emphasizing the high cost of building this overpass, which is today not only closed, but also unnecessary, emphasizing that this functionless construction highlights government corruption.
" The second thing I want to denounce is this overpass, which I don't understand its function: The flow of vehicles coming from Tirana has the possibility of going to Kombinat across the bridge, or returning to Elbasan, while the engineers I don't understand have built this entire overpass which connects the secondary roads on both sides of the Ring Road to go to Kombinat and Elbasan, why was it necessary?
I do not understand why a driver who wants to continue on the road to Kombinat or Elbasan does not go through the roundabout but has to go up the overpass, which is most likely a corrupt act that does not have the proper road and infrastructure functionality but was made there to justify government corruption, the corruption of Edi Rama, the government of Edi Rama which on November 12, 2021 attacked residents at 4 am in their homes and with this act spent 20 million euros for a kilometer of road, which is a scandalous price.
