CEC: 241,647 envelopes sent to voters abroad, 120,408 received by voters

The Central Election Commission has begun distributing ballots to Albanians living abroad who have registered to participate in the May 11 parliamentary elections.
According to official figures published by the CEC, as of today (09:10), 241,772 envelopes have been sent, 120,408 have been received by voters, while 8,637 have arrived at the CEC.
There are a total of 245,935 ballots to be sent.
The largest number of ballots distributed belongs to the Tirana district with 51,538, Fier 31,776, Elbasan 25,023, Durrës 24,880 and then to other districts.
Divided by country, 89,774 envelopes were sent to Italy, 67,185 to Greece, 25,075 to Germany, 20,289 to the United States of America, 16,918 to the United Kingdom, etc.
Voters in the diaspora have until the first week of May to complete and mail in their ballots. Any vote that arrives in Albania after 7:00 PM on May 11 will be considered invalid.
The designated place for the administration of this process is the “Feti Borova” Sports Palace, near the Tirana Olympic Park. The ballots are being prepared and sent there, and the counting of diaspora votes will also take place there.
Ballots will reach our compatriots in Europe from April 15 to 22 and in other continents from April 15 to 25.
After receiving the envelope with the ballot, the overseas voter is advised to send it to the CEC within 3 days from the moment of receipt.
They will not spend anything, as the postage is paid by the CEC.
