The show "Fiks Fare" reported on Tuesday evening a fraud case in the Kurbin district. A 49-year-old man reported on the investigative show that the head of the Socialist Party in the town of Mamurras in 2018 took a full 2,000 euros to hire him.
Dilaver Tafa was the chairman of the Mamurras SP from 2011 to 2022, while the money was given in 2018. From this year until the day Fiksi became interested, he did not return the money to the citizen.
A 49-year-old man from Kurbini complained to the editorial office of the investigative show, saying that in 2018 he met a person named Dilaver Tafa, who told him that he would hire him. Dilaver has been the chairman of the Mamurras SP for a long time. "He told me that he would hire me. I was in a very bad economic situation and I borrowed that money. He lied to me constantly, I would meet him and he would tell me no today and tomorrow. I would even pay for his lunches and dinners and I never ran out of work," says the citizen.
According to him, Dilaver Tafa constantly lies to him about returning the money even though the citizen still owes him. "I have met him dozens of times and he continues to lie to me. Not today and not tomorrow. I still owe him that money today," he says. He adds that he has met Tafa several times, and there are even recordings of these conversations, where Tafa admits that he will return the money, but now "it is campaign and election time and as soon as they are over he will return it."
The citizen calls him in the presence of the Fiks Fare group, but Dilaver Tafa tells him that “I am in Mirdita, I am not in the city of Laç”. After this answer, the journalists call him and, contrary to what the citizen said, he replies that “I am in the city of Laç”.
On social media, Tafa writes that he is still the chairman of the Mamurras SP, while in conversation he initially admits it and then says that "I was from 2011 to 2022". He adds that he is now a former chairman, while claiming that the chairman of the Mamurras SP has been made by the Unit Administrator, who is his nephew, the son of his brother.
The journalists ask for a meeting and he meets them at the Mamurras Unit. He again says that he has held leadership positions in the Mamurras SP, chairman. He further explains that he currently holds no position, but continues to deal with the campaign.
Fiksi asks him if he knows a PR person (the 49-year-old whistleblower), and he says yes, and that he has friends. The journalists ask him why he took 2,000 euros to hire him, but he denies it and says that "I took it from him to pay off the loan I had."
Fiksi tells him that his job in the SP was also about employment, while he replies that no, since he himself was at the Post Office but now has no job. He adds that he took the money and will return it, but he will return it after the campaign and the elections.
