National Renewal Assembly/ Tritan Shehu: Turning point for Albania

Democratic Party MP Tritan Shehu told Syri TV that the DP National Assembly comes at a crucial moment for the country, describing it as a political turning point in confronting what he considers a "regime" that is leading Albania into continuous deterioration.

According to him, this Assembly aims to clearly define the new political lines of the opposition, at a stage that he describes as necessary for the great change that the country needs.

Shehu emphasizes that this is a profound process of growth, consolidation and expansion of the Democratic Party, where European integration, the fight against corruption and crime, as well as the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms remain priorities.

 He adds that the DP is also placing special emphasis on conservative values, which he believes are necessary for Albanian society, at a time when the foundations of family, identity, and social structures are being questioned.

'In the developments of this country, which requires a strong confrontation with this regime that is leading it increasingly worse, this is an assembly that will give political developments a new direction as a whole and will make it possible to define those lines that are necessary at these moments for the great turn that Albania needs.

It is a moment of growth for the Democratic Party, its consolidation and expansion, a moment of consolidation of its political line, which I believe are the lines of European integration, the fight against corruption, crime, confronting violations of fundamental rights and freedoms, as well as the strong lines of conservatism that Albania needs.
