"In Bulgaria, the whole people stood up", Paloka: Albanians must react themselves, not wait for Berisha's call

Democratic Party MP Edi Paloka has criticized the lack of citizen reaction to the political and economic situation in the country. He cited the protests in Bulgaria as an example, where, according to him, the people stood up over the tax issue.
" We see what happens in Bulgaria, everywhere... even in countries like Bangladesh where democracy is not even a term in schools. In Bulgaria, for taxes, the whole people stood up," Paloka said.
He stressed that Albanians should not wait for Sali Berisha's call to protest: "Berisha should no longer call Albanians, they should call Berisha."
According to him, the opposition is almost deactivated and the parliament “no longer exists,” while citizens only react “when the excavator comes to demolish their house.” Paloka added that people’s interest is much greater than participation in the protests: “If only those who wrote to me on Facebook came out, we would be 10 times more in protest.”
