Dajçi/Manja incident: Gjin Gjoni is inciting violence, he must take political and legal responsibility

Ulsi Manja has reacted to the incident recorded last midnight, where the Socialists claim that two armed individuals, on behalf of Gjin Gjoni, threatened the family members and electoral headquarters of the SP candidate in the Lezha District, Klotilda Ndreca.
Manja describes this act as intolerable that goes beyond any boundaries of political conflict. According to him, Gjin Gjoni must take political and legal responsibility for the violent climate he is inciting in Lezha, Kurbin and Mirdita.
According to Ulsi Manja, if Gjin Gjoni wants to appear brave, he should remain so and not manipulate the incident for fear of punishment, adding that the incident has film and audio evidence that clearly proves the threats and violence and is available to the investigation.
"The time when Gjini himself built the crime scenes with the "hammer" of the old justice system has ended with the Justice Reform," writes Ulsi Manja.
He says that the case is being investigated by SPAK and that he has also officially informed the OSCE/ODIHR long-term observer mission.

The serious incident that occurred yesterday evening in Dajç, Lezha, where the father, sister, and entire electoral headquarters of our candidate for MP, Ms. Klotilda Ndreca, were threatened with weapons, is an intolerable act that goes beyond any boundary of political conflict.
Candidate Gjin Gjoni must take political and legal responsibility for the violent climate he is instigating in Lezha, Kurbin and Mirdita. If he wants to appear brave, let him stick to this strategy of intimidation until the end and not play the "brave friend", manipulating the event for fear of punishment, but let him show off his bravery and not hide behind a finger!

The time when Gjini himself built crime scenes with the "hammer" of the old justice system has ended with the Justice Reform.
We established the justice reform and SPAK precisely for cases like this – so that no one can hide behind power or political connections, but be equal before the law. This case is now in the hands of the new justice system and no attempt to drag it out or distort it will be tolerated.
Gjin Gjoni and anyone else who thinks like him will bear full responsibility for escalating the tense climate and ruining the political atmosphere in the Lezha region.
Today I officially informed the OSCE/ODIHR long-term observer mission about the event in Dajç and, as the political leader of the Socialist Party for the Lezha region, I guaranteed them my personal commitment and that of the party I represent for a fair and peaceful electoral process.
For us socialists, what is happening these last few days with the local DP and the one in the center, is an old movie that we have seen in 10 campaigns in a row. We know the ending – not only us, but every Albanian. And this is how it will happen on May 11th, remember:
• In the closing meetings they will declare victory and sing the anthem,
• In the morning they will start hanging their ears,
• At lunch they will drag out the countdown with banal excuses,
• At dinner they will say: “They stole from us again!”
With the same director, there can't be a different film! On May 11th, we will beat PD+ASHM & Co for the tenth time!
I call on all SP supporters not to fall prey to deliberate provocations and tensions. We will win with citizenship, with a project and with commitment – not with weapons and threats.
We clearly distance ourselves from any act of violence or illegal action that violates free elections and we demand from the competent institutions to investigate any violation of the electoral law, without any exception!
